# Wrap text in TableText command ti create multiple lines in one cell/row

DOS autori shared this question 3 years ago

Is there a way to put text in cell in multiple lines?

I don't want to write three words in one long cell but rather wrap text in too lines of the same cell.

Any suggestions?

I inserted \text{ <line1> \cr <line2>} in several cells in the attached

I attached also a way for working

try \cr for new line

It's not working or I don't know how to implement it in a right way. Here is applet I've been working on. First line needs to be in two lines (in labels with three words, two in first line, third in second) so table can be smaller.

Fantastic!! I think I'll use spreadsheet in the future for this! Muchas gracias! It will definitely keep me from becoming insane! :-)

Now, can I use italic or bold just for some cells this way? Or the whole table will turn out italic?

And what about changing row hight manualy? Is there s way?

I don't need it here but I will be working with tables in some next applets and these options would be helpfull.

use \phantom{ <a taller text like fraction>}

for bold use \text \bold etc.
