When you plot a line or a parabola would it be possible to have the following extra options available for
Object Properties...Algebra tab...Equation pull down list
For a line: ax+by+c=0. In Australia this is referred to as the general form of a line.
For a parabola: y=a(x-h)^2+k. In Australia this is referred to as vertex form, with vertex (h,k) and axis of symmetry
x= -b/2a
Thanks.

These same forms are used in the US as well. I agree that the general and vertex forms should be added to the context menu as soon as it is possible/feasible. It would be a nice feature.
Tony
PS I have seen these forms used in applets from other countries, so I believe this would be beneficial.
Please try the new version 5.0.282.0. We now have
* New form for lines ax + by + c =0
* New forms for Parabolas (Conic Form and Vertex Form)
