Help! I wish to animate the blue point "G" in this sketch (not yet completed) to move at a constant speed, controlled by the slider "a". However, the point increases in speed as its distance increases form the origin. Strange... Can someone tell me why this is happening?

the point G is on a line, line has infinity length so if speed is constant the time is infinite so GG normalize the line like a segment
you can to use a segment directly ie:
define mm=segment((x(corner(1)),0),(x(corner(2)),0))
then G=point(mm)
