Way to save student performance . . .

When you use a ticker to keep track of how many a student got right and wrong -you have to be present to see what they have done.

I would like to have a way to have them go on my website (embedded file) at home, spend 15-20 minutes working on a file and be able to have the embedded file record how well they did for me to see.

So it wouldn't be like Geogebra Live because their work on a file doesn't need to be recorded. However it would have a little of Google Docs in it in that their progress would be recorded.

Thanks.

While not as good as your idea, some teachers have the students take screen shots and share them via e-mail...

Hey,

I tried that just now but it didn't work. I tried to save a page from my site - From the Chrome menu - I went to File -then to Save Page As. But when I went to retrieve it in the folder I saved it in it didn't retain the contents of the screen shot.

Please let me know if there is an ideal way (that you know of) to go about doing this.

I'm thinking I will go into Geogebratube include the MENU or something like that when I embed and maybe I can save through there.

Thanks.

A screen shot in not usually done with a browser tool; taking a screen shot is done differently depending on your equipment...

Windows 7 & 8 have a Snipping Tool

Android and iPad you click two buttons

Apple has a tool

I am sure the Chromebook has something

This screen shot will not give you a working app, it will be a png file to show what is on the screen...for a working file, one must save the file and send it or its link to another person.

http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/ is a link to various methods for taking screen shots, for Chrome you need an app like SnagIt which is a great software for users...
