i make inputbox and i want to put any number but without using slider . can i do it ?
There's no need to use a slider. Just enter a number in the input box, and the variable that you've linked to the input box will update with your input.
Deactivate the visibility of that variable by clicking on the related visibility dot in Algebra View, so no slider will be shown in Graphics View.
In GeoGebra V.6 all numerical variables are shown in Algebra View also as sliders by default, but if your variable is linked to an input box, its value will be updated when the contents of the box are updated. The slider is just an handy dynamic way to show that value
in settings of number you can unchek Show slider in Algebra View
delete min max input inc
then you can click on the square at left of number in algebra view and press + - for modifying the number
sorry sir , but i didnt find Show slider in Algebra View ???
set the slider min max inc and insert the values in inputbox. when I show the slider in a graphics view and change the values through the slider this automatically sets the min and max values limiting them to the last setting made in inbox
problema:imposto lo slider min max inced inserisco i valori in inputbox. quando mostro lo slider in vista grafici e cambio i valori attraverso lo slider questo automaticamente imposta i valori min e max limitandoli all'ultima impostazione fatta in inpbox
thank you aloooooooot you are realy a great teacher .....
in version 6
GeoGebra 5.0 doesn't have a "Show slider in Algebra View" tickbox. Is there another way of showing the slider in Algebra View?
unfortunately there are no sliders in Algebra View for GeoGebra 5 and we don't plan to develop any user interface changes for version 5 anymore. Feel free to try version 6 or one of the other apps (Graphing Calculator, Geometry, ...) from https://www.geogebra.org/download
Thanks for the reply Zbynek. I understand that your team does not want to put further development time into version 5.
Because I am working with 3D graphs, I don't want to open the (2D) Graphics View (where I can see the sliders). I am having trouble with version 6. It seems sluggish and I am finding it more difficult to do even simple things, such as open a settings window, in that version. I will keep persisting. I am currently using version 5 on my desktop and I use the online version to get accustomed to version 6.
