Uploading to Geogebratube from Geogebra 5

I have a simple applet that I have used for years locally that I want to put on Geogebratube to allow students access. In the past I have had few problems with exporting the applet and following the instructions. Something appears to have gone badly wrong with my MO.

The appearance of the app on Geogebratube is completely different. The command bar and menu bars are missing, text is in different places, the text in the algebra window is in a different order so big that it won't fit a single screen and ends up with a scroll bar. I don't see anywhere where I can change any of this (e.g. applet size, what menu bars and so on should be present etc.). I also can't (easily) find any documentation on this interface to Geogebratube?

I also tried uploading directly from the Geogebratube website and got "An error occured: Application Error".

Are these problema with Geogebra 5, or Geogebratube or my Web browser?

?

I am using Geogebra 5 on a windows system and Firefox browser. The .ggb file is attached.

Hi,

before trying something else :) since Firefox is having some problems lately with the GeoGebra site, would you please try to upload your file using a different browser ?

Scroll down this wiki page http://www.geogebra.org/man... till the "GeoGebra Applets" section, that describes how to upload and edit your worksheet. The other parts of this tutorial page explain how to add text, pictures and other elements above or below your worksheet.

Thanks, please try uploading now - the Algebra View will be better now with 5.0.279.0

Also (as explained already) if you redefine Integral(x) like this

  1. Integral(x) = 0.25x⁴ + x

rather than using the Integral[] command then your file will work a lot better online

Not clear what you mean. The whole idea of the applet is that the user can enter any function they like.

You could make that clearer by linking it to an Input Box (and maybe hiding the Algebra View entirely)

Well, this is what I mean. It is absolutely clear in the version I am looking at on the screen on my computer (where there is a command line input and an algebra view). I want the algebra view there because I want students to see the algebraic form of the integral! I will have a look at improving the interface later - to be clear, you suggest removing the command line interface and replacing with an input box object?

Yes, you can show exactly what you want (eg the Integral) using the Text Tool

http://www.geogebra.org/man...

and / or the FormulaText command
