Trouble when saving documents

Hi! We are experiencing problems when saving documents in Geogebra (v 6.0.562.0). MacOS Mojave 10.14.6

We try to save documents to the desktop (without logging in - this normal procedure when our students are logging in on exams - they do not have Internet connection and cannot log in to any cloud). We are expanding the dropdown menu to see all the alternatives. When expanding, we cannot see any folders. See attached image. How do we fix this issue?
