You'll need to sign in with your GeoGebra username and password (you can add a password to your account if you don't have one already)

Thank you @Michael BorcherdsThat solved it.

But I've never needed to create an account; I've just signed in using my Google account, and now all my files are stored under that account. If I create a new account I presumably won't have access to those files (or would it work if I "created" it using my gmail.com address)? Please advise!

P.S. This is only happening because I downloaded geogebra-classic on Ubuntu and am now trying to sign in using that program rather than a browser.

Where does it say create a new account?

Log in here and follow instructions above http://accounts.geogebra.org/

As said, I know how to create a NEW account; what I want is to access my EXISTING account which I've previously been accessing just fine with my Google ID. Please see the attached screen shots of the dialog I've been getting.

It seems not to have uploaded the screenshot between the other two; hopefully it's attached this this reply.

Hello, I had the same problem, I work on linux and the app seems insecure to google. My workaround was to go to configuration of my account on my normal browser (chromium in my case) and choose a "new password" for my account, that way I can use my google account except that I need to introduce the mail address and the password.

Hope this helps
