\textit{} en \textbf{} behaviour

PGvdVeen shared this problem 3 years ago
Solved

When typing a LaTex text in Italic, I type \textit and now f.e. { x is unknown } must follow.

But Geogebra places the cursor one position to the left so one ends with \texti{x is unknown}t

The same strange behaviour with \textbf{}

GeoGebra 5.0.230.0-3D (20 April 2016)

I got these message a few versions ago to. When downloading I had to click several times on Negeren (Ignore). After that GeoGebra did work. A version later the message did'nt appear anymore.

I just checked it again, downloading 5.0231.0. It took me 16 times to ignore. After this GG seems to work normal, although the downloading isn't. I don't know if it occurs in other languages to.

I guess either GeoGebra is still running (or it didn't close properly).

If you restart your computer before installing I think it will work.

I restarted and tried it again... you were right! There was no problem.

Now I understand why it happened just now and then. It must have been in the cases when on the forum questions were raised about features or bugs in 'the most recent version' which I wanted to control without closing GeoGebra itself.
