# Text box having a Fixed Width

Javier Cayetano Rodríguez shared this question 1 year ago

I wonder if there is any way to create a box of a certain width using LaTeX included in GeoGebra.

I mean: if the text inside the box is too large, then it would be automatically splitted into several lines.

(*) I have tried the commands I know for LaTeX, but they do not work inside GeoGebra.

Thank you!

Sorry, that's very hard to do automatically (for the general case) so we don't have plans to add that for LaTeX

Sure it is!

Have you considered introducing one only for plain text?

Thank you anyway!

Plain text
Yes, maybe in 2019 :)

I have tried options like "p{4cm}" inside a tabular environment

and using

\begin{tabulary}

I think they are not implemented on Geogebra

By the way, the option \cline for tabular environment doesn't work on Geogebra either.

Hi, Cayetano.

Please, did you find some way to this issue?

I am sorry I have not find any way to do it.

Having those options inside a tabular environment (like "p{4cm}" or similar) would be great, but I guess there must be some difficulty importing them to GeoGebra. It is a pity

Tienes razón: es una lástima. Seguiremos pendientes.

Muchas gracias, Cayetano.
