Hi,
T is the tangent plan of the ellipsoid in point A.
All is correct except when A is on zAxis.
The equation of the plan is correct but it's Oxy plan which is drawn. (See image)
Regards,
M.Lafitte
(T est le plan tangent de l'ellipsoïde au point A. Tout est correct, sauf lorsque A est sur zAxis.
L'équation du plan est correct, mais c'est le plan Oxy qui est dessiné. (Voir image))

Bonjour,
This seems to be a bug...

Bonjour,
Thanks for the report! This should be fixed on next release.
Cheers,
Mathieu
Thanks,
f(x, y, z) - 2 = 0 doesn't work. It should give the ellipsoid and we get : x² + 2y² = -3
(f(x, y, z) = x² + 2y² + 3z²)
Little detail : Press Alt + 'ellipsoid' (algebra or 3D graphic). Only the equation appears in the 'input bar' (the e: is missing).
Can we envisage a command to get the coefficient of quadrics like for conics 'Coefficients[ <Conic> ]' ?
Regards,
Michel.
Thanks for your reports! We'll do our best to fix that soon.
Cheers,
Mathieu
