Statistics Calculator New Feature Request

Needs Answer

First of all, I would like to say that this calculator is great!!! https://www.geogebra.org/cl...I would really love to see the chi-square procedure for constructing a confidence interval or hypothesis testing for 1 variance and the f-procedure for hypothesis testing for 2 variances... Why isn't implemented? Is it too hard? Please let me know before I spend the next two years writing my own calculator :-)

While you are writing your own calculator :)

please have a look also at: https://wiki.geogebra.org/e...

and https://wiki.geogebra.org/e...

that can be used in GeoGebra (I'm sorry, I can't help much in prob/stat - I hate them from the inner of my heart)

There is no command for 1 variance chi-square procedure and 2 variances f-procedure... Why is that?? Without these two any calculator is incomplete...

Please can you post a link/reference/example to what you want exactly

Thanks! If you could make working prototypes like this then we would be more likely to add them to GeoGebra

I am new to this so could you please explain a bit more. Where can I learn how to make a prototype? And what exactly is the prototype? What is the language it is written in? Is there a training I can take to learn how to create it? Thank you!

Download it into GeoGebra and see how it's made (eg look at the Construction Protocol) or check it online https://www.geogebra.org/cl...

What does it mean to download it in Geogebra? How do I see how it's made? The construction protocol doesn't show anything on my end when I open the calculator. If you think that the interface is intuitive then you are wrong. This task (adding two hypothesis tests) would take literally a minute for someone who knows what they are doing, but instead you want me to learn the whole thing from scratch and do it myself. DId I get that right?

1) Open https://www.geogebra.org/cl...

2) Go to View -> Construction Protocol

Thank you. I did end up downloading the probability calculator but when I open the construction protocol there is nothing there./bsYMbAEIQAIL9d20FfDQEgfmanKeDr3VHAgQIECBAgAABAgQIXAgIlhdoPiFAgACBZwHB8pnQBgQIECBAgAABAgQIEJgpIFjOnKtbESBA4HcBwfL3CTkfAQIECBAgQIAAAQIEigQEyyJ4vyVAgMByAcFy+QNwfQIECBAgQIAAAQIECEQCgmUkY50AAQIEMgUEy0xdexMgQIAAAQIECBAgQKCxgGDZeHiOToAAgcYCgmXj4Tk6AQIECBAgQIAAAQIEMgUEy0xdexMgQIBAJCBYRjLWCRAgQIAAAQIECBAgsFxAsFz+AFyfAAECRQIHpEzKGixhSwAAAAAASUVORK5CYII=

I am just trying to add the Chi-Square Test for One variance and F-Test for two variances... I know exactly what I need and what exactly to change in the code but I can't get to the code...

download the attached file in my post and open it

the file you show is an empty file with the probability calculator opened

What's the difference between the calculator file and the other one?

the calculator is only a calc for stadistic,

Is "calculator" a type of applet? I am still trying to figure out the difference between the calculator and what I have here. Next, I would like to <iframe> my "calculator or not" into my webpage so my students can use it, how would I do that? Thank you for your time!

I was able to embed it but how do I hide the geogebra controls?

photo
1

edit the activity (three points menu)

edit the applet (move the mouse over the applet and select the pen up-right)

then advanced settings below the applet

yo no sé estadistica pero sé GG. si hablas español podríamos construir el applet que desea

There is a translate button here :-) I understand everything you say!

How would I tell you what I need from the applet so you can help me build one?

Draw it with pen and paper and upload a picture

As I stated in the original post, I am happy with the interface, I just would like the two tests and 1 confidence interval to be added to the dropdown in the following interface:/CpLOQ93TnzwAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==

I would like the following options to be added to the drop-down list:

/Lc95AnLK7wc8d8G5BTey4R1CtBOVSWyjff9QxDp1qdqRq50fhGQCeufj51MWP8cQ7kFGYFjIZBsyXWsynIhioBMWPJEkBGQETg3CMiEdW6GSjZURkBGQCYseQ7ICMgInBsEZMI6N0MlGyojICMgE5Y8B2QEZATODQIyYZ2boZINlRGQEZAJS54DMgIyAucGAZmwzs1QyYbKCMgIyIQlzwEZARmBc4OATFjnZqhkQ2UEZAR4wvobWAHkdidjoEEAAAAASUVORK5CYII=

When choosing the Chi-Square Test of Variance, the following interface should show up:

/AxW88az6+964AAAAAElFTkSuQmCC

The calculations are pretty simple. If I could see the original code, I feel like I would be able to tweak it to make it what I want. But I am very new to the geogebra, so I have no working knowledge of how to build apps from scratch.

Also, if there is an option for me to download the calculator and remove all the stuff I don't use and add these options and use a local copy of the calculator in my classroom then I would like to explore this alternative. Thank you all for your time!

I just wrote 1 Variance Chi-Squared Confidence Interval. Now how do I put it in the calculator?
