LaTeX

equations can be entered in the caption field of an input box, say,

$\frac{a}{b}=$. I find the default font of the caption is “Sans-serif”, but I

cannot find a place to change it to “Serif”. Can GeoGebra do that? Thanks.

Alex

$\textsf \frac{a}{b}=$

In older GGB version exist a central paramter, now no more.

1

Oh...What a pity. Hope GeoGebra can consider provide such flexibility in future.

I do not know a lot of LATEX. this was wrote after a search in google.

try:

\frac{a}{b}= \cr

\mathbf{\frac{a}{b}=} \cr

\mathsf{\frac{a}{b}=} \cr

\mathrm{\frac{a}{b}=} \cr

\mathtt{\frac{a}{b}=}

or in caption with $.....$

saludos

For the caption of:

Points (and maybe, other geometric objects): All the commands works fine. It's available the command \mathbb{ } for board bold font (for example, for notation of set of numbers). Serif is the default mode.

Buttons:

\mathbf{ } (bold)

\mathsf{ } (sans-serif: default mode)

\mathtt{ } (monospaced)

works fine.

\mathrm{ } doesn't work.

There are available the following "shorcuts":

\rm{ } (serif; doesn't work in buttons)

\it{ } (italicized),

or try "\sf{ }" found here german-latex-tutorial : math fonts

The main problem is, that the default value (Serif / Sans-Serif) can not be determined central (one time).

Now you must give the command "\sf" in each LaTex-command/Caption, if you like Sans-Serif.

I tried $\sf{\frac{a}{b}=}$ , but seems no difference from $\frac{a}{b}=$ .

Anyway thanks.

1

Yes. I want the right one. The default one (or \sf ) is the left one.

Of course not a text. I want it as a caption in input box. Thanks.

I think:

OK for Caption Inputfields

NOK for Caption Points

\mathsf{ } and \sf{ } commands are for sans-serif font.

Please, anybody does know how to use serif (roman) font in the LaTeX caption of a button?
