Real Time collaboration in Geogebra

I am curious if there have been any recent advancements in Geogebra that might allow for this. . .

Currently on my website I have Geogebra files which have been put on Geogebratube -every time someone goes to that page they see the same thing.

I'm wondering if I can post a Geogebra file which allows people to log in from different locations and then manipulate the image (whatever it is that is being constructed) so that everyone else sees the changes.

In other words a real time work place where people can interract on the same template.

Is this possible?

If so, How?

You can create a Group for your class, by clicking this link, then upload your files, create self checking multiple choice or open questions, GeoGebra activities based on ggb files, and much more.

You can find a quick introduction to GeoGebra Groups here.

Simona, I'm new to this too, and had a similar question as did Krebsmathclass... I recently created a trial math group among my deparment colleagues, and understand what you are saying. But I'm not entirely sure that is what Krebsmathclass has in mind. If his question is like me, we're wondering if people in the same "groups" can see other people working on the same object. For example, when you are working in Google Docs, you can see other people (shared to the same Doc) type on the document in real time. Can you do this in GeoGebra?

Sorry - I missed that.

No, it isn't as in Google docs where you can see other people working on the same document in real time.

Documents here are shared with dedicated permissions, so only who has the right to edit a worksheet can do that. When pressing Save the changes become visible to all the participants.

Virtual Math Teams at Drexel allow real-time collaboration in Geogebra and that's pretty much the only way that I know of. It includes chat that can be saved and you can trace back all the actions that were taken (and by whom). Handy for online classes or research. On the negative side: It is Java-based, the embedded GeoGebra is still 4.3 (not 5) and the interface for managing the rooms is quite cumbersome.

Regarding collaboration on Geogebra files in real time:

Has anyone figured it out yet? It would be super helpful in a hybrid class odel, which I expect I will be in this coming fall. t

I see that the virtual Math teams at Drexel is no longer in usage. Thanks Linda

I love GeoGebra Classroom, but is there a way for students to work together on the same activity in real time?
