# Problem with parameter in point command

Gluon137 shared this question 2 years ago

I have a problem with the point command.

Point A moves on the sequence of polygons with the parameter s.

On the triangle (n=1) the point A reaches its starting position by s=.74

On the square (n=2) the point A reaches its starting position with s=.8

I think it should be 1 in all cases. Can you help me please?

`As those are closed curves, the point usually starts at 0 and reaches the stating point again at 1.`

but if you define polygon(A,B,C,A) this is a quadrilateral, the A is the point at 0 and at 0.75..1

you must define polygon(A,B,C) for a triangle

When I try to open your link, I get "Opening file failed".

I am really sorry. Does this one work?

Ok, now it works.

The starting position for all paths are 0, and it is the left point of the path

what is the problem??

As those are closed curves, the point usually starts at 0 and reaches the starting point again at 1.
