popup label or description

Needs Answer

I use the online version of Geogebra. I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the popup label (description) that shows up when I move the cursor over an object? That label gets in the way when I try to choose an object. It is especially frustrating for my students. It slows the class down. I have turned off labeling, but that doesn't help.

I think you mean the Tooltip. Try this:

In Online version (https://www.geogebra.org/graphing)...

  1. Go to the gear (upper right corner)
  2. Click on Settings
  3. In the graphic view settings (which opens first for me by default) go to the bottom of the right side; use browser zoom to zoom out if needed to see the bottom of the list)
  4. For the Tooltips drop-down menu select "Off"
  5. Close the settings menu by clicking the X in the upper right
  6. Test by hovering over an object

Note you can instead turn off the tooltip for an individual object under the Advanced tab.

It actually doesn't in the Online version. Hover the mouse on e.g. a point, and you'll see the tooltip.
