polynomials input on Mac classic 6

Needs Answer

My pupils with a Mac cannot write x^2 to ved x squared. They have to write x2 and then write the hat between the two to get x squared. So that is annoying.

BUT even worse. Whenn they type something after this operation, for instance 2x, GeoGebra gives an error message "trist men dette input kan ikke bruges". All in all - almost impossible to write a polynomial in GG.

sequence in writing:

x2 - go back write a hat between x and 2

arrow sideways (to get down (not superscript)

+2x

and then an error

There's a workaround, but not a fix as far as I know. type in 2**x. This will be read as 2^x. Super annoying that the standard way doesn't work.
