Any time a mouse move is needed to click the input line the system menu comes up. We have to wait until it vanishes.
Please shift the input line just below the buttons (like Lotus 1-2-3, Multiplan, MS-Excel do it since ever) or leave it to the user to place the input where ever he wants.
I like this idea 
You can move it to the top, try View -> Layout

Finally I found the items called Layout!
Sorry, to say that but this is not the feature a wanted.
My preferences are not accepted as persistent by ggb.
Just clicking "window: new window" and one can see again the preferences of the developer.

I would also like to suggest this. Yes, I know the input bar can be moved. Yes, I know you can save the settings.
However, many teachers won't go looking for the setting. When used with a data projector in a classroom, having the input bar at the bottom makes it harder for students beyond the front row to see what is being typed. Having it at the top makes it easier for all students to see.
So I suggest the default is changed to the top rather than the bottom.
