Placing Slider of Equidistant Points On a Circle

I would like to create an applet for my students that is similar to the applet that appears in this task on NRICH's website -- see this link.

In short, a circle is shown with points placed equidistantly around the perimeter/on the outline of the circle. Students can then draw different types of quadrilaterals using the exterior points (no midpoint of the circle is shown/needed).

A slider controls how many points are shown around the circle.

How would I go about creating these points and this slider to control the number of points? (I know how to insert the polygon tools that are shown in the link.)
