Perpendicular Line Segment from Point to a Line
Answered
I've looked through the options for this command in the Wiki, but none seem to match what I want to do. How can I draw a perpendicular line segment from a point on a curve to a line? If there was a point on the line, I could use the segment command, but the point on the curve is variable, so the point on the line can't be fixed. Can I somehow hide the bits of the infinite line that extend beyond the intersections?

hello
Thanks, that seems like a good trick. Seems a bit roundabout though. Strange there's no option yet to restrict the PerpendicularLine command to a segment.
