Performance on different systems, mainly on Windows 10 ?

Im using Geogebra on my Windows 10 desktop PC (where it works like a charm) and on an Android tablet (ASUS MemPad HD7) where it is so slow that it is pretty much unusable. Using the touchscreen the program works very sketchy. Using a mouse improves things only a small bit.

How does Geogebra perform for instance on Windows 10 tablets? I assume the Windows 10 version would be much better optimized. Can anybody using Geogebra on a Windows 10 tablet share his experiences?

I have both a Surface Pro 3 and desktop Win10 machines. Both work very well with a mouse. Your major problem with the android tablet is the processor speed (my Nexus 7 is much slower, as is my old iPad2).

The touch screen is difficult for me to master as my fingers are not the best tool to use as a mouse pointer, IMHO, most will never be a good as a mouse. Even with the Pro's pen I am not a proficient, but this is me.

Thanks for the feedback. Id have guessed that it'd be due to a badly optimized port.

Try the new GeoGebra Graphing Calculator on your Android Tablet which is much faster.

On Windows 10, the desktop version will run faster than the Windows Store version (but there are fast and slow Windows 10 tablets - it depends how much you spend on one).

I just installed it. Indeed it is much faster. Even using the touchscreen has become very smooth. Not perfect yet but good enough for what I need.

Thanks for the hint!

Well, and there's already the hangover. As soon as I enter a few more lines and points into the mix, things start becoming slow again, almost as slow as in the "big" application.

Guess I have to look for a tablet with a better CPU.
