Parametric equation where the value of t is indicated by a colour

Hi all,
I'd like to plot the graph of the parametric equation (2at,a^2-t^2), where the value of a can be varied with a slider. Is there a way for each point on the graph to be coloured differently so that the value of t is indicated by the colour of each point?
