[Minor Bug] Change Forum Code-Tag [co] to [pre]

-Loco- shared this problem 4 years ago
Solved

While copying the system information (Help>About/Licence>System Information) to the clipboard the old forum code tag [co][\co] instead the new forum tag [pre] [\pre] is used (see here).

I'm sorry, but this doesn't depend on GeoGebra, because the Forum is based on a third party software.

It does depend on GeoGebra as GeoGebra provides the copy and paste text for the forum. And it takes only 2 small changes within the source code to change the compatibility to the new forum.

I'm sorry, I've misunderstood what you said. Thought it was about the forum tags. I mean, the inbuilt ones.

I'm looping your request to the developers.

@Loco: I changed your comment to use [co] tag and it looks more tidy: [co] keeps the long text in a scrollable box while [pre] formats it into super long post. The problem is that pasting [co] tags in visual mode does not work.

Okay. So [co] is still supported and not recognized from forum in visual mode. I just wondered each time seeing users post the system information in wrong format. Thank you either way.

good to know - both work:

some code [co] example looks like this line

some preformated [pre] text looks like this line

actually no tags seem to work in visual mode, so [pre] does not really help :( I'm not sure if/when we can find a technical solution, for now please always click the Change View icon before pasting the About information in the forum.
