How to make text objects (or any other things) fade in/out?
the easiest way is with properties/advanced/color
but for text isn't not possible to change the transparency (maybe in laTex)
thanks for your reply, rami, but this is not what I want, this trick would not work if the background color is not white.
for this backgorund try in text1
R:(1 - txtFade) 102 / 255
G:(1 - txtFade) 204 / 255
or make a picture from the text (or any object) and fade it with opacity in properties/advanced
Note: not suitable for dynamic texts / objects
(but sometimes still with animated GIF sequences)
it seems we’re only faking it that these objects fade in/out by some tricks.
I doubt that GeoGebra has the ability to show the (real) opacity of any (dynamic) objects now.

(also not in JS, I think/have try. I think also: not all object-types has this propertie).
I thought (mistakenly) that you are looking for one or more workarounds for this problem.

What do you actually need? Just text?
ps everything is possible :)
Thanks, I have learn something new.
thanks, all mighty Michael. ^_^
why not consider making the opacity a property of any object so people can change it easily ?
I just find out that this trick doesn't seem to work for texts with latex in it, and in the version of GeoGebra Classic 5.0.426.0-d, the SetColor(text, color) command will result in syntax error.
