MAC infinity symbol

BUMPRW shared this problem 11 months ago
Not a Problem

When using the keyboard shortcut "alt-u" you initially get a barely visable "∞ then you have to space to get the end quote, and then go back and remove the quotes to make it work. This is on top of changing the traditional keyboard shortcut that has been around since at least 1982 and is still used in most programs "alt 5". Also oo doesn't work and I could go on.

Which version of GeoGebra are you using?

I guess Classic 5, since you are using the shortcut Alt+u (that works fine in Windows, though).

If so, you can select the infinity symbol from the symbols drop down list, displayed at the end of the input bar.

I'm now looping your post to the Support Team.

In order to help them, please post your OS, the GeoGebra version you are using, and a screenshot of the issue.

There is no drop down to the right of the input. There is no way to get the infinity symbol when using a MAC

With GeoGebra 6 (mac) alt+5 = ∞

With GeoGebra6 (mac) ∞ is alt + U

(with GeoGebra 5 (mac), ∞ is alt + ,)
