Latex-Commands in HTML5

Hello,

I'm working a lot with Latex in Geogebra. For didactical explanations I use colors, unterlinings, background coloring, bold and italic styles.... Iv'read most of the posts in the forum concerning Latex and I know that only a selected subset of Latex-commands that work with Java are transferred to HTML 5.

So I had and will have to change many texts, to make them readable in Geogebra-tube (HTML5).

Old texts are not displayed at all , if not every braket is closed. HTML5 with Java was much more

tolerant concerning those little mistakes. But that's not a problem that can't be solved by counting left and right brakets. There are Latex-commands that work perfectly like "Tabletext", others that work in the Java version and have to be changed for the HTML5-Latex: fgcolor[] => textcolor[] .

The background colors are ignored, when I try to give Latex-names to variables. (see picture)

I especially miss the following commands in the HTML5-Versions:

bgcolor , colorbox , scalebox

It would be nice if somebody of the develloppers could tell us users, if there are any intentions, to

make this commands available in HTML 5 in the future. This will help us to adapt our Geogebra files not more than necessary.

Hoping for an answer

Yes, we've got a major change to LaTeX in HTML5 coming very soon. You can have a sneak preview here:

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your quick answer.

In the meantime I found another astonishing thing.

The following two versions:

"\fgcolor{red} \bgcolor{green} A \bgcolor{red} \fgcolor{blue} \bgcolor{yellow} B\bgcolor{red} \fgcolor{green} C"

or

"\textcolor{red} \bgcolor{green} A \bgcolor{red} \textcolor{blue} \bgcolor{yellow} B\bgcolor{red} \textcolor{green} C"

show background colors in HTML5 but not in Java-Version :exclamation: . This means that 'bgcolor' has disappeared in

Java-Version !

the left picture is from Geogebra 5-Java, the right ist HTML5 on Geogebra-Tube (same syntax)

For those who are interested in colornames and their application in Latex / Geogebra.

Over 600 colornames inclusive their complementary colors can be tested.

https://tube.geogebra.org/s...

the command \bgcolors can be tested in HTML5 and in Geogebra-Java for the downloaded file.
