This is the keyboard shortcuts list for operators.

There is also a keyboard shortcuts list for the main GUI features:

In G6, if I write ||, I get || ||.

I hate these automatic features, why don't you, dear G6 (and many other programs), let me write what I want!

If I write on notepad

a || b,

and copy it to G6, I get

a*||b||.

Why do I want to copy? Because it is clearer and easier and faster write the commands somewhere else than in G6's input fields!

G5, you I love...

I'm getting the correct "or" operator, by typing twice the | key.

Which is your version of GeoGebra, and your OS?

If you want to copy and paste across all versions then you need to use the correct Unicode symbols ∧∨

Windows 10, Geogebra 6 (6.0.536.0).

If I write one "|", then I get "| |". I think g6 thinks that I wan't the absolute value operator, |a|, but it works fine as "or", if I leave it empty...

So, if I want to get "a˅b", in G6, must write:

1. a (creates "a")

2. | (creates ||, focus between them)

3. arrow right (focus moves after ||)

4. b (creates b)

Don't like it!

I just realized that after phase 2, when I have "||", I must type second ("third") "|". It gives me || (what I want), and not "|| ||" as would be logical. (As Simona Riva said above.)

But if you want "||", and you type "|" and get "||", how in world could you guess that "third" "|" gives you "||", and focus as it should be.

But this does not solve the copy problem with notepad (I am unable to write ˅ with notepad, I must use word).

So, if I want to get "a˅b", in G6
You can use the onscreen keyboard

I am unable to write ˅ with notepad
Try Notepad++
