Keyboard automatically closing after each character input

Solved

Using on HTC 10, Android 8.0.0, GeoGebra Graphing Calculator application version 5.0.540.0 (as it says in the Play store).

I can type only one character or function on GeoGebra keyboard (that is, click on one button/entry on keyboard), and then the keyboard automatically closes. I have to type each character separately, opening the keyboard for each one. Reinstalling application didn't help, nor did clearing data, wiping cache partition, etc.

However, adding objects works just fine. The problem is only in the keyboard, as it seems.

I hope the amount of details help you solve this.

It's fixed for next release (around 6th Feb)

Thanks for sharing this with us! Unfortunately this is a bug that occurs only on HTC phones and we haven't found a way to solve it yet.

Thanks for information! Unfortunately, that doesn't change the fact that the application is half useless (or hardly usable) in it's current form. I suggest taking this problem into consideration for bugfixing.

Of course, this bug is on our list and we hope to find a way to solve it. Strangely we haven't experienced this with phones from any other brand.

It seems that one patch in the meantime did solve the problem (in beta) and then they reverted it and it still doesn't work. Don't know what's happening.
