Go to download page and download app or Classic version, according to your device.

To save locally, in GG5 just choose 'Save' in the File menu, in all other versions choose Export as ggb in File Menu

Thank's s lot. What I see is only GG5 is working locally, in other versions everything I do is saved to the cloud at first, in a second step I may have it locally by exporting which is actually downloading!? Well I absolutely don't like that, it should be the other way around. My conclusion therefore is: delete GG6 and use GG5 again.

Kind regards

No, your conclusion is not correct. You can work and save locally too direcly in GG Classic 6. Although it might sound strange, if you work offline in GG6 you have to select 'export as' option in the File Menu and choose the option 'ggb' to save your file on your computer. Indeed the option 'Save' in the FIle Menu only leads to online saving, but with the Export option you can save locally without saving online first.

You can discuss about the word 'export' when working offline, but it's chosen in GG6 to provide the same interface on all devices and apps no matter if you're working offline or online, while GG5 was created for working offline with the eventual possibility to export online. So instead of pure semantic logic one has chosen for unity in terms in times where much work is done online. It's a choice you can diagree with, but it still does provide the possibility of offline saving.

Thank you I didn't see that. You are absolutely right. I use to work a lot with Maple, it's the same there: you work almost everywhere online!

Kind regards from this side of the planet...
