Is it possible to merge two ggb files into one?
Answered
Hi, I have two ggb files with some constructions and now I need both constructions to be in one file but I don't want to make one of them from scratch again. I tried to copy and paste one construction into the file of the other but it didn't work. For some unknown reason I got a duplicate of the same construction that was already in the file.
Is it possible to do this?

* open GeoGebra Classic 5 on Windows

* select this when opening the subsequent files
Hi,
The trick is: do not close the window.
Objective: merge file A and B into C
1.) Open B.ggb in a new GGB-window
2.) Menue: Edit / Select All
3.) ctrl-C
4.) Menue: File / Open... (or Open Recent) A.ggb
5.) ctrl_V
6.) Menue: Files / Save As (important: not 'save') C.ggb

Hi,
I've a similiar problem. Sometimes I have to copy the content of the edit window, but the
object boxes get lost when I try to insert this for a new definition. At the moment I use
a copy from the construction protocol but this is not a very quick method.
Perhaps somebody has a better solution.

Hi
You can select the text in the graphics window, then F3.
Delete, or change in input line text field name, then press Enter.
Double-click on (new) text box in the graphics window and change "latex" and content..

Thank you all! I actually found a solution myself because it was a rather urgent business. I made a tool in one of the files with the relevant input parameters (basically, all free objects) and output parameters (the construction I wanted delivered to the other file) and then simply used the tool in the other file. Thus I avoided the mismatch of the object names.
Well, it was a bit tedious work to do, because of the complexity of the construction and the many objects I had to select as output objects but anyway, it did the trick!

Hello, is there any easier way to merge 3 files into one in GeoGebra ? because the methods above are complicated.
