Insert GGB file not working

Hi!

Start GeoGebra and try to insert the attached file. Only the slider n is inserted, all other elements (including the prism) don't. Is this the normal behavior of this feature?

Thanks!

Hi,

Not working confirmed. Seems like any file with 3D objects cannot be inserted to other ggb files without losing 3D data or more.

I tried a simple regular polygon & prism file insert into a file with text and circle.

Only the 2D info in the file remain after insert. (See files attached poly&prism.ggb, and the testfiles.

I also tried the reverse. If you open your file first then insert another file (casbuttons-.... .ggb) it works!

So try reverse insert as workaround.

Thanks! But, what if the two files to be merged contain 3D data?

I think developers will have to debug the insert file command to include 3D objects.

Workaround maybe to unzip ggb files and cut and paste the xml codes directly.

However object names must be different to prevent errors

when I open the 3D view and insert the file only n is inserted as n_1

Sorry, it's not implemented for 3D commands currently
