# Input Box with " " (space) as a caption?

WG1234 shared this question 1 month ago

Hi!

I wonder if it is possible to create an input box with " " (space) as its caption?

I want students to enter values for a parameter 't' that will lie in the interval A <= t <= B.

And one idea to do that could be to create 2 input boxes: one for A and one for B.

These input boxes will be arranged on the same line with " " as the caption for the A-input box and "<= t <= " as the caption for the B-input box.

Unfortunately, geogebra does not seem to allow " " (space) as a caption?

Also, captions in input boxes do not allow Math font (eg the 'less than or equal" sign in the example above)?

If so, I will pursue other workarounds.

Thank you!

You can use just the LaTeX space code if you put it between two dollar signs as \$\; \$ . However As it is blank you won't see it so you might as well mark the option to show no caption. And you might as well use these signs to type e.g. \$"<=t<="\$ as caption, which produces a nicier result than the expression without. Between the dollar signs you can use LaTeX codes to write nice expressions as caption.
