How to show the equation of every single level curves?

Answered

If i drawn contour of f(x,y) = x^2 - y by sequence(intersectpath(z=0,f(x,y)-k),k,-10,10,2)

I want to show the name of each level curve one by one . So i can show or hide every single level curve name. e.g : x^2 - y = 2

Create a slider k, e.g. k in [-10,10] and enter x^2-y=k

Pls see attachment and give the solution for contour level curves name.

Hi Team,

Pls see above attached and give the solution.

Type in the Input-Bar:

Execute(Zip(""eq,eq,l1))

Hi rami,, Thanks for the reply can you pls apply command in attached. So i can see the pattern.

sorry was wrong (CopyFreeObject() is needed (?) and instead of Zip() Sequence() is needed (?))

In the attachment an extended version as button (bottom left in Graphics)

Note: some equations make as red is manually

Thanks rami, i am checking this. Can you pls check my other ticket in which i ask how to find intersection between 2 curves in the same attachment you shared.

as i change my function it work but when i change my constraint equation it did not work.

Hi rami,

I checked the attachment it shows the same equation on every level curve.

Is it possible to see equation of every single level curve separately which shows level curve value at the curve.

No problem here (Windows 10, GGB 5 and 6 Desktop (actual)) Filename: ....2C

.

==================================

Questions:

  1. What file name
  2. What GGB release (Example 6.0.546)
  3. What GGB type / System (Example Classic portable Windows 10)
  4. When you open: you see the picture above. If yes: something wrong?
  5. When you click button: what happen.

Hello Rami,

Yes you are right before click button it look the same you attached. When i clicked button it changed all curves same equation. 0f990f7352ea9037428f6d5d9c6de0b5

It's not the same picture (formula, red curves, 3D perspective)

I think your version is wrong. Download again from here.

If not OK: answer the other questions (1,2 and 3) above.

(I think I'm on another GGB server (ASIA) maybe they're not always in sync)

Before click button it looks, but after click it changed what i shared in previous comment.f59140f2e705078ebd24a15d5aba20b1

  1. What file name. (Ans. curve intersection-2C)
  2. What GGB release (Example 6.0.546) (Ans. Geogebra Classics 6.0535)
  3. What GGB type / System (Example Classic portable Windows 10) (Ans. Classic)
  4. When you open: you see the picture above. If yes: something wrong? (Yes i seen red circles and every equation shows different level curve before click button.)
  5. When you click button: what happen. (Ans. When i click button it change all level curve same equation a i attached previously and red color vanished).

Please post (send back) the file you use in your post above.

Pls see attached. Rami i want to know how you and other users knows very much about software.

To check the bug I need the file you use with the wrong result.

And please say the Browser-Name you use (Example: Chrome).

And please delete the cache in your Browser, then download again (2C) and test and give the response OK or NOK.

After this I try to send a version OK (or the correct script as text in the button)

Pls see attached wrong result file.

Sorry, all in your version "Curve intersection-5.ggb" is OK and same as my lokal version 2C

  • After click on Button: 11 different curves are created in 2D and 3D, all black (it's OK: colour must be set manually)
  • When in the head of algebra-view the view is changed to definition, then the different definitions are view. (Maybe this is your problem)
  • For me is not clear what is showing when view is set to "value". I think it's must be same as "definition", maybe a small (viewing) Bug in the context CopyFreeObect.

I test with classic Desktop 5.0 and 6.0 and and WEB: https://www.geogebra.org/classic

Now I don't understand anything.

Maybe you can send a screenshot after click the button and after you set in the head of algebra-view the view to "definition"

Before click the button as i open your local version "2C" it shows this. All 11 different curves in black and with some red curves shown.bdbed0fb706e3441c16b0518f02fd32c

After click the button this is the screenshot. It changes algebra view curves to all same equation.

yes: I think it's (definitiv) a GGB-Bug:

When you save this state (after click button) and reopen, then the algebra-view is OK.

Thanks rami for your support. I am keenly wanted to know how you guys learn that much about software. If you answer this i am really happy. It might help me .

First I ask the manual, and then the (GGB) system. For this I make separates, small GGB-Testfiles to test my hypotheses how ggb works. And: i try to make a hard difference between "I think / I belive" and "I'm sure". I try also to think "I make a bug" and not "GGB has a bug" and I try to find a workaround. Sometimes help a search in the GGB-forum (via Google), Sometimes help Intuition. And most importantly, I stop working when I'm not happy (Note: I am retired).

Is it possible to explain. How GGB is better/different than MATLAB , Mathematica and maple. In your opinion.
