Hello, i'm trying to open some .ggb file on the iPad with GeoGebra classic.

- Browsing the file system with the iPad app 'Files' and opening .ggb file doesn't work

- using the 'Open' menu in GeoGebra just open a resources browser and no access to any files on the iPad

Hello

You can't open a ggb file with the system app "files"

So, try with a file manager app

Hello, thanks for the reply. Opening with the Files app or Document from readdle produce the same error.

EDIT: Sorry I was too hasty in this reply. I could open the file with the « Open in another app » option.

I don't understand why such a basic function like « opening a file » from the GeoGebra app itself is not implemented. This is beyond illogical for a document based app.

Basically GeoGebra is half functioning until we download another third party app... wow.

Which error..?

First you have to put your ggb file in Documents of Readdle

Did you see my screenshot ? When you tap on a ggb file in Documents of Readdle, after you tap on "open in other app" (i don't know exactly in english), then you choose GeoGebra Classic

Well that tricks doesn't work anymore... Documents just shows a blank screen when opening a while instead of proposing to open in another app.

Here's an idea : GGB teams should add the basic « open file » in their app...

EDIT: Well apparently you can share the .ggb from Documents and that works... but that still doesn't cancel the fact that there are absolument no excuse for GeoGebra to not be able to simply open a file... how can a basic thing like this is left out of an app? What's the thought process behind this?
