I want to display the text cos a where a is the angle in radians. This gives eg "cos 2.4 rad". Is there a way of the object a showing 2.4 without "rad"?

if you set the unit in radians, then 'rad' won't be shown as unit, not in the Algebra and not in a text.
Thanks for that. Unfortunately I don't have object a as a number - it's constructed as an angle. I finally discovered that if I input b=a/rad then b is defined as a number and does not display rad.
