I think Michael or I misunderstood the question

Do you want to know if a point in the sides of a polygon moves in one direction or the opposite?

Or do you want to know if a polygon is oriented clockwise?

If the path of the order of the points of a polygon starting from any point of the polygon rotates clockwise or counterclockwise.

I know if a the points list of a polygon is oriented clockwise or counterclockwise.

The Shoelace Area formula without absolute value have two response same value positive or negative.

If the value is positive the direction is counterclockwise. If the value is negative, the direction is clockwise.
