In a blank spreadsheet I typed 'x' and 'y' in separate cells.
I can delete 'y' but I cannot delete 'x'.
Is this a feature or a bug?

Guess that it's a bug.
Same in ggb 5 and 6. I wasn't able to delete the function both in the Spreadsheet and Algebra View. (either using the Del key, Backspace key or the Delete option in context menu)

Functions are fixed by default. Try unfixing it :)
