# How to change the color or make the construction lines disappear inside a surface?

marcway shared this question 4 months ago

Hello everyone,

Please, please, if you have time to help me, the following help:

I'm working on a surface. in this case the surface is the strip of Mobius.

2- I would like to be able to change the color of the construction lines inside the surface. It's possible ? Black to White, for example.

3- If you want the lines not to appear on the surface is it possible?

Here's the example.

Since many thanks! Marcelo.

Hi Marcelo!

Funny that this question was asked a few minutes ago.

@3 I think setting the linethickness to 0 should work

You can find this option under preferences -> Style -> Line Thickness

@2 No, I don't think that this is possible, but I'm not 100% sure

If not as a presume, I think you have to add the wished lines separately.

Hope that helps you and kind regards

Dear Mire2,

Thank you very much for your precious guidance and I'm sorry for taking the time to respond.

When I worked with Winplot, there was this possibility to improve the visualization of a certain surface. I liked it very much.

Who knows, the Geogebra team does not implement this news?

Thank you for the explanations!

Marcelo.

Hi Marcelo!

Hmm, here an example for an alternative line structure of a moebius stripe.

You can modify it for your purposes in a quite easy way, I think.

As a short remark - you can change the colour of the original lines from black to "white" by changing the opacity of the given lines to 0, I think, but you can't really change the colour.

Kind regards

Hello Mire2,

Wonderful! Thank you very much for your care in helping me!

Its construction was excellent and I understood how to make an alternative construction to vary the colors in the Moebius Stripe.

Did you work with Winplot? In Winplot, we could change the colors of the surfaces, which helped a lot in the visualization of the study object.

Many thanks for the wonderful help!

Marcelo.
