Hello,
With the old forum software using [quote] and [/quote] was a simple way to quote something from a previous message or some other source.
How is that done now ?
Thank you,
John.

[quote]just a try[/quote]
opss sorry, i was forced to post, because we can't preview messages...
and now can't delete it
You can use [reply] tag when editing BBCode; does not work very well in WYSIWYG mode.
WYSIWYG is sort of a preview -- or is it sometimes different from result?
What do you mean?
Thanks for the feedback.
Hi Zbynek
[reply] so i have to copy/paste ?[/reply]
grrrrrrr doesn't work
I don't understand. I don't see a quote button to quote your message !!!
"What do you mean?"
See my message here
https://www.geogebra.org/he...
(see pic.png because i can't link to this message in the thread)
(and my pic.png should be here and not in the bottom of the message...)
If i want to skip a line, to make my message more "legible", it is not possible
Thanks
@download0091
?
i didn't quote (see quote.png)
test
Hi mathmum,
you got to have the sentence "so i have to copy/paste ?" shown in a different way... it would work as quote. How did you get sentence to appear in a shaded block ?
Thanks!
Hi Jumera,
look at my previous comment.
In order to create a quote, you need to:
1. click the rightmost icon (the one with the monitor on it) and ensure that the monitor is shown in black colour. This means that you activated the BBCode
2. tag your text with reply, e.g. [ reply ] text [ / reply ] (remove unnecessary blank spaces - I just wanted to show you the syntax)
(yep. you have to copy and paste)
3. send your comment
As far as I understood
if you use BBCode you cannot use the other icons for formatting. So your (our) choice is between WYSIWYG (blue monitor icon and use of icons on top) and BBCode (black monitor icon and tagged text). You cannot mix the two features.
I'd consider that a godsend. Let's see if the above comes out shaded.
Thank you mathmum.
i think i do not understand well (perhaps i do not see the final result)
i am afraid i must post some no sense words and look the final result
saludos

[color=#FF0000]Is there somewhere we can see all (this) forum BBcodes ?[/color]
chit color doesn't work lol
Oui, just some tags work in BBCode.
I tried yesterday with a dummy post that I deleted, so unfortunately it's no more online.
The following tags don't work in bbcode (these are the one I tried):
code, size (for fonts sizing), color (both hex and with the colour name in English)
It is not very... very... (i don't find the word..!)
Hmmm GeoGebra forum is not a little private forum
It is an international forum no..?
Pffff
Noel, je ne peux plus écrire ton pseudo en couleur
Dam..!!!
et puis je ne peux plus t"écrire en MP
mais ça c'est encore un autre problème:(
And how can i quote AND send a file or a pic from my computer..?
grrrrrrrrr
And how can i send a link of a precise post in a thread ??
Does anyone have a list, even if it is partial, of the bbcode that works ? (other than what can be gathered from the icons at the top of the "leave a comment" reply box)
Tomorrow? :) hopefully tomorrow in the morning I hope to find a bit of time to check the bbcode tags. Now I had to switch into slave mode and have to do home chores :(
So... let's see...

Trying some smileys...
For smileys, administrators can put all they want i see...
https://www.geogebra.org/im...
So... sure, in administration Panel, administrators can add color tag
please jumera
how did spoiler in your post??
BBCode is : [spoiler]magic[/spoiler] or [spoiler='text']magic[/spoiler] (in a "regular" forum)
[spoiler]so this forum is not regular but it translated the regular forum
