Help assistant for commands in GeoGebra for desktop - suggestion

Under Consideration

It would make the assistant with help for command inputs more useful, if it was possible to search for part of a command. For instance if I want to find color commands I could search for color in the help window and it would present me with alle the commands with the string "color" in them.

This would be even more useful for those of us who use GeoGebra in other languages than english. It's sometimes tricky to guess how a command is translated. For instance the command "setcolor". I know it has the string "farve" in it in Danish, but I can't remember the rest. It would be great to be able to search for "farve".

Hope it makes sense.

Regards Bo.

and more: If would be great to have bilingual menu and command! (show english and other language at same time, like

tool (工具)--create new tool(创建新工具)

You can already do that in some versions, eg

I'm not sure I see how.

Two search screenshots from my android:

In the first picture, I attempt to search for part of the command which is in the middle of the command. No usable results. In the other, I know the exact command and the result comes up.

Same goes for the new GeoGebra "6" and the web app.

to find the particular translation in whatever language I often use a command in a language in which I know the name of a command and then I change the language in the Option menu. Then if I doubleclick on the object in the Algebra View I get the translated version of the command I was looking for.

I sue that trick too. But I would still have to know the beginning of the command in English in order to do this.

Atm I use Google and try to come up with a translation which would fit the English command (or I use the language option in settings), but it's timeconsuming compared to just being able to write a text string and every command with that string in it would pop up in the helpmenu.

You know the Wiki-Manuel? https://wiki.geogebra.org/en/Manual

You can reach it in you language via main page of the help forum right top there is a button to go to the wiki- There you can search.

Or do you know that you can find a collection of commands in GeoGebra? Rightclick on the small triangle right besides the input line to open an extra view with all of the available commands?

Yes I know the Wiki. I'm actually supposed to be translating it to Danish with the rest of the Danish team.

I also know the help menu which pops up, when I hit the triangle or the question mark. Thats actually the function I'm suggesting to improve.

When I search for Farve which is part of the command VælgFarve[<object>, "Farve"], this is the result:

https://wiki.geogebra.org/s/da/index.php?title=Speciel%3AS%C3%B8gning&search=farve&button=

If I search for color, which is art of the SetColor command, I get this:

https://wiki.geogebra.org/s/da/index.php?title=Speciel%3AS%C3%B8gning&search=color&button=

So basically I have to know pretty exact, what I'm looking for, in which case the search wouldn't be necessary, or have to make a go go Google search which is time consuming. To avoid Google, I would have to remember all the commands.

Furthermore this makes it harder to go to exploration mode, where you for instance want to fiddle with colors and want to know which color commands are in the program.
