Programmierfehler:

Geogebra Classic 6 auf Mac OS 10.13.6

Es ist unmöglich, geschweifte Klammern einzugeben. Somit ist die neue GeoGebra-Version auf meinem Mac weitgehend unbrauchbar.

Does typing ⌥-8 and ⌥-9 work?

No.

This would exactly be, how to type these brackets on Mac.

Have you tried online and offline versions?

yes.

it seems, that geogebra does not receive events from option-button

(brackets with straight lines don't work either) (option -5 an -6)

Does it work if you lie and say you have a German-German keyboard?

No, it does not work.

ggb does not receive the event from option-key

Sorry, it's working for us so I'm not sure what else we can do.

You can use the on-screen keyboard for those symbols

Strange.

I just asked a friend to try it on his Mac. It does not work.

I am sure, there ist something wrong with ggb 6. I'm no beginner:

I had programmed my first algorithms 50 years ago. I've had developed my own math. graphic user-software 30 years ago. I had instructed many many ggb-courses for teachers with ggb3 and ggb4 many years ago. I had met Markus Hohenwarter personally when he was a student and was developing GeoGebra 2.

So I very well can recognize mistakes in software. Please try to find the bug.

Does it work if you use the ⌥ key on the right hand side?

Yes. With the right hand option-key on my MacBookPro ist does really work.

How strange!

At home I will try it also with my separate keyboard.

thank you for this good idea

On my external keyboard it also works with option key on the right handed side. But not with that one on the left side.
