Thanks, knew this workaround, but that's not a real solution. In my posted screenshot should appear a second symbol, showing a folder to activate the option to save local, shouldn't it?

yes

I hope a solution from developers

I have tried to use the "export" option, and it seems that it works (one of the options is .ggb file).

Screenshots attached.

I've already discussed this with the developers, and it seems to be the final option. A ticket has already been created to change the "Export" option to "Download".

This is very frustrating. Instead of just clicking Ctrl+S to save the file locally, I have to go through several menus and clicks. This makes the entire work process much more cumbersome.

For now, the most feasible option for me is to switch back to Geogebra 5. I hope that, in Geogebra 7, the developers will realize their mistake and put back the good old local-save option.

I agree that we need a local save button. I have a hard drive with 30 years' data from a variety of applications. I don't need the hassle of tracking multiple apps each with its own cloud storage when all we need is a simple "save to/open from" local drive button. For me, as it stands GeoGebra 6, despite being an excellent package, is not usable without local saves as I use my OneDrive to ensure access wherever I am on whatever device.
