GeoGebra 6 Linux : 3D menu missing

Hi all,

I am running Geogebra 6.0.620.0-202012010900 on a Debian/Linux machine.

I have installed this version from the Geogebra website 1 week ago (deb package), and after a few executions of the program the 3D menu has disappeared. I can see it briefly after launching GeoGebra but then it disappeared.

I have tried to reinstall it ( apt --purge remove geogebra-classic && apt install geogebra-classic) and I have also removed the config directory $HOME/.config/GeoGebra, and still no success with the 3D menu.

So I run GeoGebra from command line `geogebra-classic --forcegpu=true --silent=false` to see the log, same situation but no hints about the origin of the problem.

At the end of the message I added the log and two screenshots of the GeoGebra window at startup and when it finish the startup.

My guess is that the problem is related to the configuration of /usr/share/geogebra-classic/chrome-sandbox, but I don't know what I can do about it

I will appreciate any suggestion on how to solve this problem.

cheers

Mauro

Hi Michael,

many thanks.

I performed few test up to now and 3D is now working, I will keep updating if something happen.

However in this version I encounter the problem of closing the application (in my case is not so important because I can kill the application).

In practice if you draw something in Geogebra and you want to quit, the software doesn't shutdown in any condition (saving or not the work in a file).

The workaround to shutdown this version of Geogebra is to open another terminal and kill all the related processes with the following command

kill -9 `pgrep GeoGebra`

cheers

Mauro
