Geogebra 5 unable to view linear regression model analysis BUG

Hi,

I've encountered a bug in Geogebra 5.0.634.0, when analyzing data points from the spreadsheet. When I select linear regression model from the drop-down menu, no line appears between the points. All other reg models like log, expo etc. draws a line. I have an older version on my laptop that does not have this problem when entering the same datapoints; this is version 5.0.585

I have purged all geogebra-related stuff via the ubuntu terminal and reinstalled, but only Geogebra 6 solves the problem. I would however rather not start using Geogebra 6 at this time.

Does anyone know if there's a fix for this, ie. a Geogebra 5 fails to draw a line between the points when selecting Linear regression model?

I am using Geogebra 5 on Ubuntu 18.04

Thanks

Please try the new version (v636)

Also use File->Open rather than double-click for now

Is the new version v636 available for Ubuntu? Where can I find it if so? If I download Geogebra 5 via deb file it'll install the 5.0.634.0 version.

I am not opening a file, so I am not sure what you mean..? No matter what numbers I enter it'll either not draw a line or draw a faulty line, when I select "linear" regression model in Geogebra 5. Geogebra 6 does not have this problem as shown in the attatched printscreen. I have tried this without Geogebra 6 installed, but still have the same problem in Geogebra 5.

I have an exam coming up and would really prefer not spending time learning the settings etc in Geogebra 6. Please help me.

I have read the installation instructions. Could you please just confirm if v636 is available for Ubuntu or not? Installing via the guide you posted will only install v634. (Geogebra 5.0.634.0).
