Functioning desktop version for Mac?

Needs Answer

Hello,

I haven't used GeoGebra in a while and I am having no luck getting started again. I see the app has been divided into different apps, and the classic version doesn't seem to function at all. I can't save (or download) files, the toolbar randomly disappears, and I've wasted hours of effort redoing the same relatively simple things over the last couple of days, all to no profit. I tried downloading GeoGebra 5 and that seemed more promising (I can actually save files), but it crashes with certain tools, (drawing a circle with a given radius causes it to freeze for example).

Has anybody had these same troubles and able to recommend any solutions?

Many thanks,

Oliver

Hi

Strange...

Did you download GeoGebra here ?

Which OS have you ? (less than OS 7 for GGB5 or less than OS9 for GGB6, look here )

I've downloaded geogebra from there and have also tried from the app store. I'm running OS 11.0.1 (20B50). In the second of your links there's one described as 'portable'. I'll give that version a try and see if it's any better.

Sorry, there are problems with macOS 11 currently. Your best bet is probably https://www.geogebra.org/calculator in Chrome
