I'd really like greater control, i.e.,. range of positioning, esp. via click-and-drag, of object Caption placement, pretty please! E.g., the position of my Caption for the point at (-1/2, \sqrt3/2). (I know I can "hard-code" a position using the Text object, but: a) I'd prefer not to have to do it that way; b) it's cumbersome, requiring numerous iterations to get the placement "just right"; and c) I really don't see why one should have to, i.e., why limit click-and-drag placement of the Caption?)

Sorry, we don't have plans to change that
For future readers who may agree w/ my "disgruntlement": I just discovered that, for at least some objects, e.g., Segment defined from two points, the range over which one can "click-drag" the automatically placed label is affected by the order in which you supply the arguments to the defining function. For example, I defined a segment from two points on a circle and didn't like where I was being allowed to place the label, but noticed that said "region of permissibility" was asymmetrical (w.r.t. to the segment) so tried swapping the order of the defining points and low and behold, I was able to drag the label to where I wanted it! Apparently, some objects appear to have "hidden orientation," which may affect how other properties of the object function, so if something's not working to your liking, see if your object has this hidden orientation (relative to its defining objects), and if that affects the properties you want to modify.
Yes, it can be quite annoying where it chooses to place a label/ caption - it would be good to be able to drag it to a better position.
