Formatting a table in a text activity of a book

Is there a tutorial that goes into some depth as to how to format text and tables within the text activity of a book? I am making a book and the table I created, in the editing screen, has columns that are close together. Then when the book is viewed, the columns are spread across the page, making it hard to read the table.

I see some [code] and [bbcode] categories and such that look like they might be of some help, but do not see how to implement them. I have tried several possibilities unsuccessfully.

Any help would be appreciated. I understand that I should RTFM before posting this, but have not found a suitable manual.

Thanks in advance.

[code]: highlight a text and press [code] to change the visual format of the text (an mean that that bit of text is a comand, or syntax for a command, or comething related)

[bbcode]: shows the HTML of the Text object.

There are limitations on the use of HTML in Text objects, so I guess that

  • <table> element to define a table
  • <tr> element to define a table row
  • <td> element to define a table data
  • <th> element to define a table heading

  • I'm sure that these tags/elements work.

Not much sure about defining captions, using <caption> tag/element and definitely not sure if the CSS border property to define a border works.

Thank you. I see how to toggle on and off bbcode. It seems to be unstable though. The editor is changing my code on the fly. It would be nice to see some examples of tables embedded in a text object.

OMG, has anyone figured this out yet? I'd REALLY like to add borders to the table in the following activity: https://www.geogebra.org/ma...

table in Text-Aktivity ist sehr marginal: keine Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten (Rand, Lage, Größe!)

    Nötig: LaTex-Befehle im BBCODE.

    Beispiel:

    [math]\Large\begin{tabular} {|c||c|c|c|} \hline \bullet & \mathbf\vec{p}_\infty & \mathbf\vec{g}_0 &

    \mathbf\vec{p}_0 \\ \hline\hline \mathbf\vec{p}_\infty & 0 & 0 & 1 \\ \hline

    \mathbf\vec{g}_0 & 0 & -1 & 0 \\ \hline \mathbf\vec{p}_0 & 1 & 0 & 0 \\ \hline \end{tabular}[/math]

    in Aktivity
