Files crashing Geogebra v5 for Windows

Solved

This is a project I do with my students each year at this time. Two years ago, the files marked 2015 opened and saved fine in Geogebra for Windows.

Last year, I first ran into this issue with the files crashing Geogebra before they were fully opened... receiving the "Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working." I thought I had resolved this, but the files are again crashing Geogebra 5.

I clicked on "Debug" and Visual Studio Editor says the error is "Unhandled exception at 0x77989D11 (ntdll.dll) in javaw.exe: 0xC0000374: A heap has been corrupted (parameters: 0x779BD8D0)."

I am able to open them up using Geogebra 6 installed on the same machine, but both the old and the new files still produce the crash.

I realize I could continue to do future work with 6.0 installed on Windows 10, but I have found the experience/interface to be more frustrating/time consuming when compared to 5.0.

So I'm hoping someone can figure out what is causing the issues so that I can continue using 5.0 in the near future.

Thank you so much in advance.

Two of the files are from 2015 when they worked, and two have updated information for 2017 that were modified and saved within 6.0

Please make sure you are using the latest version (5.0.395.0), all the files work for me with that now.

For me all files work in the current version (5.0.394.0 desktop).
