It would be very useful to be able to select an object (such as a point), then hit a key or click a button to immediately select all other objects of the same type as well (such as all the other points). Similarly for lines, surfaces, etc. This would let us quickly select all the lines in a drawing and adjust their colors, or so forth.
A related useful feature would be "select all connected" to select all lines connected to the current point or line, or surfaces that intersect with the currently selected surface. That would let us select all the lines in a cube, but not the surfaces, or all the surfaces but not the lines or points, and then make adjustments as desired.
