Hi, with : GeoGebra Classic 5.0.507.0-d (16 October 2018)

Java: 1.8.0_121

OS: Linux

Architecture: amd64 / null

Heap: 910MB

CAS: Giac/JNI

Factor(x^2-2) yields x^2-2

Factor(Factor(x^2-2)) yields the (wanted) factorisation within R[x]

Wanted or not ?

Salut Michel!

See also: https://wiki.geogebra.org/en/Factor_Command

Note: This command factors expressions over the Rational Numbers. To factor over irrational real numbers, see the IFactor Command. To factor over complex numbers, see the CFactor Command and CIFactor Command.

But this doesn't explain, why using the command two times delivers the "wanted factorisation".

Kind regards

Bonjour

C'est sûr que dès qu'on ne fait pas une commande comme écrit dans le manuel

soit cela donne un message d'erreur, soit cela donne des résultats surprenants..

Essaye pour voir Droite(Droite(A, B),Droite(C, D))
